Oregonians have many reason to feel proud of their state. The history has bumps in the road, however, that have caused pain and suffering for some of its population. Oregonians have found ways to
exclude people since the first settlers made their way across the Oregon Trail. In the past 200 years, they have discriminated against people–Native Americans, Chinese, Japanese, African Americans,
to name but a few–who were perceived to be different. The reasons for discrimination are varied. "No Easy Road," a traveling exhibit developed by American Jewish Committee–Portland Chapter and funded
by Spirit Mountain Community Fund explores the history of discrimination in Oregon. Both events are sponsored by the OSU Campus Coalition Builders. Everyone is welcome!
