DESCRIPTION:Teaching Excellence: A Workshop to Enhance Teaching Effectivene
 ss. This workshop for all new College of Health and Human Sciences Graduate
  Teaching Assistants features teaching skills and campus\nresources. Attend
 ance is required for all new or first year teaching GTAs. Each participant 
 will receive a handbook of information on course and syllabus development\,
  student learning styles\,\nassessment\, and University policies. A panel o
 f current Health and Human Sciences graduate teaching assistants will prese
 nt tips and strategies that have worked for them\, with question and answer
 \ntime. All new GTAs and first-year teaching GTAs in the College of Health 
 and Human Sciences are requested to attend this workshop. Others in the col
 lege may attend on a space available basis. Coffee\,\njuice\, and muffins a
 vailable in the morning. Lunch will be provided. Please notify Rena Thayer
