 ncy and distribution world wide. Oregon is no exception\, so far this year 
 the Oregon Department of Health and Human Services has issued\n12 advisorie
 s for toxic algal blooms in lakes and reservoirs\, which is more than any p
 revious year. This presentation will provide a general introduction to the 
 organisms responsible\, and the threats\nthey pose to humans\, animals and 
 ecosystem function.
