DESCRIPTION:This day-long workshop uses the award winning National Coalitio
 n Building Institute (NCBI) community building model. OSU's team of NCBI tr
 ained facilitators lead participants through a series of\ninteractive exerc
 ises and conversations to assist them in identifying and understanding the 
 impact of oppression and oppressive behaviors on themselves and others. Par
 ticipants will be introduced to\nskills that can empower them to become mor
 e effective leaders and allies for others. Workshop goals include: identify
 ing misinformation we have learned about others\; identifying and express p
 ride in\ngroups we belong to\; learning how other groups experience mistrea
 tment\; learning the personal impact of incidents of discrimination\; and l
