\n The annual Student Design Exhibition and Fashion Show at Oregon State University will take place on Monday\, June 1\, at the CH2M H ill Alumni Center.\n
\n\n The event\, which has a theme of “A Desi gners Affair\,” begins at 7 p.m. at the center\, which is located at 725 S.W. 26th St. in Corvallis. Doors open at 6 p.m.\n
\n\n The exhibiti on is a showcase of OSU’s finest designers. This is the fifth year of the fashion show\, which is organized by students in the Department of Design and\n Human Environment in the College of Health and Human Sciences.\n
\n\n Students majoring in apparel design\, interior design\, housing st udies and merchandising management will showcase their work at the show.\n< /p>\n
\n The design exhibition and fashion show was organized by student s in a course taught by Marianne Egan during winter and spring terms. The s tudents learned to produce a\n show by writing a proposal for funding\, tr aining students to model for the show\, promoting the event among student d esigners\, planning the runway and publicizing the event.\n
\n\n Mor e than 40 OSU students will be involved with assisting the organizers in pu tting together the fashion show and exhibit.\n
\n\n Attendees are as ked to dress in formal attire.\n
\n\n The fashion show is free and o pen to the public.\n
