 ORVALLIS\, Ore. – Oregon State University is taking applications for 48 O
 regon middle school students to attend the ExxonMobil Bernard\nHarris Summe
 r Science Camp this summer at OSU. All selected campers will be funded by s
 cholarship. Application deadline is Wednesday\, April 15. The application i
 nvolves application information\, a\nstudent essay\, and recommendations fr
 om Science and Math teachers. Information is available on line at http://or
 egon.4h.oregonstate.edu/summer-science-camp. You can request a printed copy
  from Camp\nCoordinator Andy Hoffmann by calling 541-737-4081 or email four
 hscicamp@proaxis.com. The two-week residential camp\, which is Aug. 4-15 on
  campus\, offers students entering grades six\, seven and eight\ninnovative
  ways to enhance their knowledge of science\, technology\, engineering and 
 mathematics. Leadership and citizenship are main themes\, and students are 
 encouraged to stay in school. The full\ncost of the camp’s education prog
 ram\, field trips\, food and lodging is covered by a grant from the ExxonMo
 bil Foundation and The Bernard Harris Foundation.
