The Master Composter Program teaches the art, science, chemistry and biology of processes involved in composting. The course helps participants develop knowledge and understanding of composting processes and prepares them to become volunteers who teach composting workshops to the community. Summary of topics include understanding of C:N ratios, composting structures, composting with worms, composting microorganisms, backyard composting, ingredients for successful composting, the biology & physiology of compost, composting methods, aerobic & anaerobic composting, composting bin construction, and a tour of a composting site.
