Personal Training Prep Class

Want to become a personal trainer? Winter Term classes: Wednesdays & Fridays, Jan 23rd - March 8th. Wednesdays 5:30pm to 8:30pm Dixon Upper Classroom and on Fridays 2:00pm to 5:00pm Dixon Multipurpose Room 2.

Introduction to Personal Training consists of practical and theoretical training, including anatomy and kinesiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, exercise psychology, training techniques, safety and injury prevention, and interview skills and goal setting. Practical information includes exercise instruction, technique, cuing and spotting, intake and assessment, program design for apparently healthy  and special populations. This 6 week course meets twice a week.

Looking for a fast-paced and fun work environment with flexibility to meet your schedule? The Personal Training Pre Class will prepare you to become a Personal Trainer and required for anyone interested in working as a trainer for DRS.
