Whale Watch Week

Sunday, December 29, 2013 (All Day Event)

December 26 - 31, 2013

During Whale Watch Week, thousands of Oregonians and visitors from all over flock to the Oregon Coast to look for gray whales making their annual southward migration. At this time of year, gray whales leave their Artic feeding grounds and make their way down to their calving grounds off Baja California. Their migration route is close to shore, so they can often be seen from land. Be sure to come take a look; trained volunteers are stationed at state parks up and down the coast to offer tips on spotting the big mammals. We're open daily from 10 am – 4 pm for this special Whale Watch Week event.
