Calendar RSS Demo
Central Web Services has written a small PHP library to simplify adding calendar data to your websites. This script requires PHP, but can run on any site, whether hosted by CWS or not. Data is output by calling one or more php functions.
View the code or, to use it on your page, download the library, unzip it, and include it on your PHP page:

The library has 2 basic views; a list view suitable for a News or Headlines section on a web page, and a mini-month view useful for linking back to the main OSU calendar site.
The views output simple HTML (a table, for the mini-month, a definition list for the list view) that can be styled via CSS. See the sample stylesheet for the classes that can be used for styling.
More control over the HTML output is possible; this requires a PHP installation that support XSLT (which includes all CWS hosted sites). See Advanced Formatting for a brief description.
A note on performance:
This library makes use of RSS caching when run on CWS hosted sites; for other sites, it might be a good idea to implement some type of caching. Parsing remote RSS feeds on the fly will noticeably slow down your web pages.

Oregon’s food and agriculture are celebrated in a traveling exhibit of award-winning photos on display September 1–30 at the Seafood Consumer Center, 2021 Marine Dr.
The “Savory Images” exhibit features images from the pages of the magazine Oregon’s Agricultural Progress, showcasing the bounty of Oregon agriculture.
“The exhibit is a reflection of the role Oregon State University’s research and people play in sustaining our state’s rich agricultural heritage,” according to Sonny Ramaswamy, dean of the OSU College of Agricultural Sciences.
Magazine editor Peg Herring said, “Food is the handshake between urban and rural communities. Our hope is that the exhibit, along with the special Food Issue of the magazine, will prompt conversations across Oregon about food as a necessary—and delightful— part of life.”
The show takes a year-long tour across the state with stops after Astoria in LaGrande, Oct. 5–30; the Food Innovation Center in Portland, Nov. 2–27; and Madras, Dec. 4–Jan. 4.
In 2010 the exhibit shows in Prineville, Jan. 4–29; Pendleton, Feb. 16–March 19; Klamath Falls, March 26–May 3; Central Point, May 3–28; The Dalles, June 1¬30; and Myrtle Point, July 5-30.

Move It Mondays is a weekly group walking program during the lunch hour sponsored by Beaver Strides, OSU’s pedometer based walking wellness program. Both Beaver Strides and Move It Mondays are open to students, faculty and staff.
We meet at the east entrance of Plageman Hall, Student Health Services, under the red awning at 12:00pm and walk for 45 minutes on various routes near campus. The walk will occur weekly rain or shine so bring comfortable shoes and an umbrella or rain gear if needed. Feel free to bring a friend, a colleague, a student, or advisee and use the time as a “walking meeting.” If you are participating in the Beaver Strides program this is a great way to increase your weekly step count and have some time during the day dedicated to walking!We propose a new estimation method for multivariate failure time data using the quadratic inference function (QIF) approach. The proposed method efficiently incorporates within-cluster correlations. Therefore it is more efficient than those which ignore within-cluster correlation. Furthermore, the proposed method is easy to implement. Unlike the weighted estimating equations in Cai and Prentice (1995), it is not necessary to explicitly estimate the correlation parameters. This simplification is particularly useful in analyzing data with large cluster size where it is difficult to estimate intracluster correlation. Under certain regularity conditions, we show the consistency and asymptotic normality of the proposed QIF estimators. A Chi-squared test is also developed for hypothesis testing. We conduct extensive Monte Carlo simulation studies to assess the finite sample performance of the proposed methods. We also illustrate the proposed methods by analyzing a primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) data.

If the default HTML markup isn't good enough (perhaps you want to show some additional RSS fields, or integrate the calendar data into an page structure), you can control the layout completely by writing an XSL template. Put the XSL template in a file, and pass it into the minical_month function:

Using the minical_month function, an XSL stylesheet, and any combination of date and range, you can produce your own month, a differently formatted list, or anything else.
A sample XSL stylesheet, for producing a minimonth. Writing XSL is far beyond this page; you should be familiar with XML basics before trying. A web search for XSL tutorial should turn up some useful information.
