Fermentation Education is an educational event that will take place on
the OSU-Cascades campus on April 21st, 2017. We believe that fermentation plays a key role in the life of all Oregonians. We will be exploring the science behind fermentation and how it influences
our community in an economic, agricultural, and sustainable way. We'll have representatives from local breweries, distilleries, and bakeries attending the event to speak on how fermentation is
related to different academic majors offered here at OSU-Cascades. There will be lectures throughout the evening ranging in topics from the history and science behind fermentation, the economic and
agricultural impacts, sustainability practices, and global marketing ventures. Additionally, for those students looking to explore a career in the industry, there will an internship fair where
students will be able to talk with hiring managers from local fermentation based companies about summer jobs and internship opportunities. The evening will close with a one hour tasting session
sponsored by local breweries, distilleries, and others for attendees aged 21 and over.
