"Cancer Risk in Children with Birth Defects" Susan Carozza, PhD, Associate Professor, Epidemiology, College of Public Health and Human Sciences.
Sue Carozza, PhD, is a cancer epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in public health practice and research. Her research
is primarily focused on identifying environmental and genetic risk factors for childhood cancers.
Sue has also been involved in the development and application of GIScience in epidemiology to determine spatial relationships between disease incidence and known environmental hazards.
She recently completed a study funded by NIH to evaluate the risk of childhood cancers associated with agricultural pesticide exposures and is also a co-investigator on a study of childhood cancers
associated with pollution in Texas watersheds.
The college-wide research seminar is co-sponsored by the College Research Office; the Hallie Ford Center; the Center for Healthy Aging; the Moore Family Center for Whole Grain Foods Nutrition and
Preventive Health; and the Center for Global Health.
This seminar is Co-sponsored with the OSU Epidemiology Program.
The seminar series provides a forum for faculty in the College of Public Health & Human Sciences and other researchers to present and discuss current research in topics in an environment conducive to stimulating research collaboration and fostering student learning.
