Science on Tap! A talk by Wayne Hoffman, ornithologist, photographer and Policy Director of the MidCoast Watersheds Council

The Ecology of Seabirds & Forage Fish in Oregon's Estuaries and Nearshore Waters

Saturday, April 22, 2017 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

HMSC’s Science on Tap is at Rogue Ale’s South Beach waterfront location, Brewer’s on the Bay, in the downstairs Board Room. Doors open at 2:30pm, and the presentation will begin at 3pm. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and early arrival is recommended. Food and beverage will be available for purchase from the regular menu. 

Wayne Hoffman, ornithologist, photographer and Policy Director of the MidCoast Watersheds Council, will explore and demonstrate the diversity of avian and marine species that key into the run of herring and other forage fish. This Science on Tap is co-hosted by the OSU Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Oregon Audubon Council, the 12 Audubon Chapters in Oregon, which is holding its annual Spring Educational Meeting in Newport April 22-23.
