BENEFICIAL INSECTS: Farm Practices to Support them

Study subject June 9; Hands-on/tour June 30

Friday, June 9, 2017 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Day 1, June 9, 9 am, endeavors to raise awareness of on-farm beneficial insects and birds and their roles and also how to create farmscaping to attract and promote them. Location: OSU Ext. Auditorium.   FLYER

Day 2, June 30, 9 am, tours Wandering Fields Farm. Practice identifying beneficials in the field and observe how a blend of hedgerows, cover crops, flowering seed crops and native plants creates a system of biological pest management.
