Working and Writing the Woods

work party and free writing workshop with Michael Branch

Please join us for "Working and Writing the Woods," our spring work party and free writing workshop at the Cabin at Shotpouch Creek, with special guest Michael Branch. 

An award-winning writer and humorist, Mike is the author of two new books,Raising Wild: Dispatches from a Home in the Wilderness, and Rants from the Hill: On Packrats, Bobcats, Wildfires, Curmudgeons, a Drunken Mary Kay Lady, and Other Encounters with the Wild in the High Desert.

From 10 am to 1 pm we will work together on trail maintenance, riparian habitat restoration, and other satisfying manual tasks.  After lunch we'll gather for a free writing workshop 2 to 5 pm. Everyone is welcome, whatever your level of writing experience.“Working and Writing the Woods” has room for 20 participants.  Please click here to reserve your place.
