Join us for a Public Science Presentation:
"What Drives Estuarine Acidification?"

Dr. Burke Hales, OSU

July 13 2017, 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Auditorium at Hatfield Marine Science Center, Newport, Oregon

Want to learn what causes ocean acidification and how it affects PNW estuaries?  Gain a better understanding of the various drivers of ocean acidification by attending a talk by OSU's Dr. Burke Hales.  Dr. Hales is a chemical oceanographer who conducts ocean acidification research in the global ocean, who has also focused on Oregon's waters. He has extended his research to working with the shellfish growing community, learning key insights. This talk,https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif" alt="" /> sponsored by NANOOS (www.nanoos.org), is a great opportunity to hear the latest understanding and be able to ask questions.

Dr. Hales' talk will be following a community workshop about NANOOS (Northwest Association of Networked Ocean Observing Systems) earlier in the day. For information on the workshop please visit: http://www.nanoos.org/resources/nanoos_community_workshop/overview.php
