Cuban Public Health and Politics

If you’ve been to Cuba or are thinking about visiting, this interactive and informative session is not to be missed.

Join us for a discussion with the College of Public Health and Human Sciences dean, F. Javier Nieto and David Bernell, an associate professor and director of the Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies program (MAIS) for a conversation about Cuba's public health and politics.

During the discussion, Dean Nieto will talk briefly about life in Cuba and the Cuban health care system. David Bernell will give us an overview on Cuban politics of yesterday and today. They will also describe their experiences living in and visiting Cuba. After each of their brief overviews, we will invite questions and conversation about Cuba.
