OSU MG Study Group: Arborvitae ID (and Their Lookalikes)

Counts towards education/recertification credit.

Learn to identify Arborvitae and trees that are often mistaken for Arborvitae.  Eight tree species in the Cypress family with the same type of foliage will be closely examined.   Learn key ID characteristics, plant habit and uses in the landscape.  Species list:  Alaskan-yellow-cedar, incense-cedar, Port-Orford-cedar, western red-cedar, Berckman arborvitae, Emerald Green arborvitae, Hinoki cypress and Leyland cypress.   A study guide to be worked on before the session will be sent out in advance. 

Qualifies for two hours of education/recertification credit. 

Registration is required for first time attendees.
