OSU MG Study Group: Abiotic Lawn Issues

Counts towards education/recertification credit.

Monday, March 19, 2018 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Master Gardener Judy Hale will lead a session on abiotic lawn issues.  When clients see bare or brown spots in their lawns, they often suspect a disease or insect is causing the problem. More often, however, lawn problems are caused by abiotic factors (air, water, soil, sunlight, temperature, and climate).  We’ll discuss how abiotic factors affect turf health, questions to ask clients to help determine whether the problem is abiotic, and the key maintenance practices (mowing, fertilization, dethatching, and aeration) that can reduce abiotic problems in turf.

Qualifies for two hours of education/recertification credit.

Registration is required for first time attendees.
