Peace Corp Information Session

Wednesday, February 14, 2018 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Peace Corps Recruiter, Scot Roskelley, will be on campus Feb. 14-16 in the Career Development office (basement of Kerr Admin. Bldg.)  and is making appointments with students who would like to learn more about the Peace Corps.

Email him at sroskelley@peacecorps.gov to schedule a time.  He says the Peace Corps always needs forestry majors and reminds students that upon conclusion of Peace Corps service, volunteers have enhanced hiring status for any federal government jobs – for agencies such as U.S. Forest Service, U.S. National Park Service, etc.

While on campus, he’s conducting an info session at noon on Feb. 14th in Strand Room 162, and on the 16th in Kidder 109. Roskelley encourages students to talk to him as early in their college careers as possible as there are things they can do that will help make them more competitive when they apply during their senior year.  Here’s a link describing more about what forestry majors do in the Peace Corps: http://files.peacecorps.gov/multimedia/pdf/learn/whatvol/Forestry.pdf
