Youth and Family Mental Health and Well-being at the Community Level

Thursday, March 15, 2018 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Join fellow OSU President’s Circle members for a reception and discussion with Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, 19th Surgeon General of the United States (2014–2017). “Youth and Family Mental Health and Well-being at the Community Level”

In his roles as a practicing physician, a global health care advocate, and as the U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Murthy has gained a deep insight into complicated health care systems and the experiences of real people.

Dr. Murthy emphasizes emotional well-being as the unexpected key to a healthier and stronger America. His research shows how the science behind emotional well-being has big implications for the addiction crisis in America, chronic disease, community violence, education, creativity, workplace productivity, and educational outcomes.
