Eight Approaches for Reducing Dependence on Fossil Fuels

Monday, April 16, 2018 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Come hear perspectives on sustainability from eight scientists in different fields. Anything you can make from a barrel of oil, you can make from a plant!

We'll begin with presentations from each of our distinguished panelists, followed by lunch at 12:30p.m., and then wrap things up with a policy discussion by our guests at 1:30 p.m

For event questions or accommodation requests, please contact Shelly Signs, (541) 737-0724 or shelly.signs@oregonstate.edu.

OSU is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a year-long series of events, including four festivals. These festivals recognize that Oregon State is one of only two universities in the U.S. that have been honored with land, sea, space and sun grant designations. This event is part of the OSU150 Sun Grant Festival running April 9 - 20. Discover Oregon State's research into alternative energy that can reduce dependence on fossil fuels while also energizing rural economies. Learn more at OSU150.org.
