The Willamette Valley Grotto, a chapter of the National Speleological Association has their meeting in Corvallis once a year. Please come and learn about regional, national, and international caving opportunities. We will be hosting Dennis L. Jenkins, Ph.D., Director of the Northern Great Basin Archaeological Field School and Museum of Natural and Cultural History at the University of Oregon. He will give a talk about Archaeology & Science at the Paisley Caves, Learn how the first Oregonians adapted to climate change 14,000 years ago, and see how new scientific methods are being used to challenge old hypotheses about when Oregon's first occupants lived in the Paisley Caves. Whether you are interested in exploring remote caves, armchair caving, or Oregon archaeology, this talk should be interesting!
