Oregon State University is at its best when it focuses on the people who work, teach and study here. That's why University Day, the year's opening celebration, has become such a popular event. The day begins in the morning with a faculty orientation session. The main event occurs in the LaSells Stewart Center Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. where we will set the tone for the new year with our speaker, the president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, Dr. Carol Geary Schneider. It is also at the main event that we recognize this year’s many award winners and give out the much-anticipated prizes that come from all of you as donations of your talents and special services.
Lunch follows – outside this year – and our annual Expo will be held in the Alumni Center. And – a change this year in our dessert schedule…athletics will host our campus for special treats in the brand new Sports Performance Center. Tour our new training facility and see where our student athletes work out and prepare for competition.
