Dr. Temple Grandin, Professor (Animal Sciences), Colorado State University teaches courses on livestock behaviour and facility design. She is a consultant for the livestock industry on facility
design, livestock handling, and animal welfare. Her topic will be critical control points related to animal welfare and welfare audits with emphasis on cattle handling. She also plans to discuss some
of the down sides of European Union animal welfare legislation and why she believes critical control points for welfare/handling may be more beneficial. Students and all those with an interest in
this topic are invited to attend.
