Global Warming and Science

A talk by Dr. Nicholas Drapela

Tuesday, March 4, 2008 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This unique talk challenges many of the deeply-held beliefs of popular culture regarding global warming or what has now become known as climate change. By focusing on factual, documented evidence instead of claims of scientific consensus, the talk explores topics which have become overlooked or ignored in many circles. As an OSU science faculty member concerned with environmental and social issues, the speaker sets a goal of elevating discussions to the factual level in order to give legitimacy to important causes. A secondary goal is to expose the public to facts which are under-reported by the mass media and hence empower the individual with knowledge. The talk is free and open to the public.
