The provision of accessible pedestrian facilities is mandated by the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This two-day course provides a solid background on many aspects of ADA and its interpretation by the Access Board and the courts.

Ida van Schalkwyk is an assistant professor of civil engineering at Oregon State University. She specializes in road safety engineering and has a wealth of experience in the area of provision of pedestrian facilities.
