A ride for change - Free BBQ and drawing for participants!

REGISTER AT: http://oregonstate.edu/communityservicecenter/ What: Biking for Justice is a charity bike ride with a social justice and environmental awareness theme. When: April 26th, 2008,
Registration/Check-in 10:00 a.m., Race Starts at 11:00 a.m. Where: Kick-off in the Memorial Union Quad.The ride will be an 11.2 mile loop through Corvallis and Philomath. Cost: FREE! Charities will
be represented at the event and participants will be able to make donations if they would like. T-shirts can be purchased for $5 and can be ordered up until April 13th. After April 13th t-shirts will
be available for purchase the day of the event. Payment will be made at the event starting at 10:00 a.m. Please bring cash or a check made payable to the Community Service Center for your t-shirt
order. Why: The ride is an opportunity for people to raise their knowledge about social justice and environmental issues. People will be able to donate money to two local organizations, the Linn
Benton Food Share and the Jackson Street Youth Shelter, and three global organizations, Women for Women International, Save Darfur and the World Wildlife Fund. Our hope with this event is to create
awareness about reducing our environmental impact and creating a world in which we can all live with a sense of peace and justice for all people. After the ride there will be an information fair with
organizations that fit the theme of the event and opportunities for individuals to get involved and increase their knowledge about social inequalities. There will also be a free BBQ and drawing
following the ride for all participants! NOTE: Please print out the liability waiver attached to online registration and bring this to the event. You will not be able to ride without this signed
waiver. Riders will also be required to wear a helmet. Participants under 18 must have parent signature. Riders under 12 must be accompanied by a parent.
