Information for International Students on an F-1 Visa

Thinking about an internship this spring or summer? If you are an international student on an F-1 visa, you must apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) before beginning an off-campus
internship. This authorization is necessary for both required and optional internships, regardless of whether or not you will be paid for the employment. International Student & Faculty Services
offers this CPT workshop free to international students, where you can learn if you are eligible for CPT and how to apply for it. To sign up for a workshop, contact our office at (541) 737-3006.
