Public talk - Pearl Oliner: Very Religoius and Irreligious Rescuers of Jews in nazi Euriope: What Was the Difference and What Difference Does it Matter?

Pearl Oliner will speak on the mental characteristics of the altruists who rescued Jews during the Holocaust. In 1988, she and her husband, a Holocaust survivor, wrote the classic The Altruistic Personality. She has also written several major works on rescuers in Holocaust Europe, including Saving the Forsaken: Religious Culture and the Rescue of Jews in Nazi Europe.
