Paying the Price of Racism

is there a cost to White people?

Thursday, May 22, 2008 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

It is not uncommon for majority people to experience confusion and feelings of guilt as we learn and understand more about racism. However, we rarely, if ever, gather as a group to identify, consider or discuss the personal and collective cost of racism to those who think of ourselves as White, Caucasian or European American. The OSU Campus Coalition Builders invite you to join this campus community forum in an exploration of and respectful conversation about the cost of racism to White/Caucasian/ European American people. Although we hold the support of other groups in the highest regard, this session is specifically designed for White/Caucasian/European Americans who are interested in open, direct and to the point discussion of the subject with others of like racial identity. Sponsored by the Office of Community & Diversity and the Campus Coalition Builders. Special accommodation requests may be made by contacting jodi.nelson@oregonstate.edu or 541-737-0715 by May 14.
