James C. Carrington, Professor of Botany and Plant Pathology and Director of the Center for Genome Research and Biocomputing, received the 2007 Sigma Xi Researcher of the Year Award. On May 13, 2008
he will give a public lecture describing the research that led to this award. The title of the talk is "Genomes, Silence, and the Big Deal about Small RNA". The talk will be presented at 3 pm in Room
4001, Agricultural and Life Sciences Building. A reception will follow. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend.
