STUDENT AUDITIONS for the University Theatre's summer 2008 production of THE MIKADO.
Auditions for Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College students will be Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13 on the Withycombe Mainstage Theatre at 6:00 p.m.
This production calls for singers, dancers, and actors. The singing requirements range from speaking on pitch to operatic. Principal and supporting roles and chorus members are all open for casting. Roles, libretto, and music are available on-line.
Those auditioning must be prepared with a solo from an operetta, opera, or musical theatre production. If the main solo is in a foreign language, an additional solo in English is required. An accompanist will be provided, but those auditioning must bring sheet music for the pianist. (Please do not audition with unaccompanied solos.)
Rehearsals for The Mikado will begin in late June, early July and run through the final performance on August 17. Cast members must also be available for the fall revival performances, October 3-5.
