Teaching Excellence: A Workshop to Enhance Teaching Effectiveness. This workshop for all new College of Health and Human Sciences Graduate Teaching Assistants features teaching skills and campus
resources. Attendance is required for all new or first year teaching GTAs. Each participant will receive a handbook of information on course and syllabus development, student learning styles,
assessment, and University policies. A panel of current Health and Human Sciences graduate teaching assistants will present tips and strategies that have worked for them, with question and answer
time. All new GTAs and first-year teaching GTAs in the College of Health and Human Sciences are requested to attend this workshop. Others in the college may attend on a space available basis. Coffee,
juice, and muffins available in the morning. Lunch will be provided. Please notify Rena Thayer of any dietary restrictions/concerns (email and phone listed above).
