Secretary of State to Speak on Climate Change in Oregon

Hosted by OSU-Cascades Natural Resources Program

Wednesday, November 12, 2008 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Join Secretary of State Bill Bradbury and explore the science and impact of climate change, and learn how a warming climate is affecting Oregon. Mr. Bradbury’s presentation is based on Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth slide show and is enhanced with information about Mount Hood, the Rogue River, the Oregon dead zone, timber and agriculture effects, and weather oddities. It will address what Oregon is doing to tackle the problem, including the Western Climate Initiative, and ways individuals can help. A q&a session will follow the presentation. Secretary of State Bill Bradbury is a member of Oregon’s newly formed Climate Change Commission. Seating is limited; we recommend arriving by 6:00 p.m. For information contact Christine Coffin, director of communications, at 322-3152 or christine.coffin@osucascades.edu.
