For the past twenty years, northern Uganda has been at war with rebel forces, the Lord's Resistance Army (L.R.A.), and the country's children have been the greatest victims of this conflict.
War Dance follows the courageous efforts of students from Patongo, Uganda, as they pour their hearts into winning this year’s national music competition in Kampala. This documentary was nominated for a total of 16 awards, including an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, and was winner of the Sundance Film Festival Award for Best Directing of a Documentary.
