Year-round, Intensive Vegetable Gardening:

Speaker: Weston Miller, OSU Extension Community and Urban Horticulture Faculty

Tuesday, June 9, 2009 6:45 PM - 9:00 PM

Do you want to have veggies year-round? With our relatively mild climate in the Willamette Valley, it is possible to harvest fresh veggies from the garden all year round. Harvesting veggies in the winter takes lots of planning and some special tools and techniques. The time to plan is now (June) and the time to plant is July. So, come learn how you can enjoy veggies from the winter garden. Weston Miller is OSU Extension Community and Urban Horticulture Faculty for the tri-county Portland metro region. He has been on the job since July 2007 and is both proud and honored to serve as manager of the Master Gardener program and as horticultural representative for OSU in the metro area.
