Master of Arts in Teaching

Information Session

Monday, November 2, 2009 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Interested in teaching at the early childhood, elementary, middle or high school level?  Come to an Information Session with the faculty and staff of the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs at OSU-Cascades to learn about the requirements and admissions procedures, as well as the application process and deadlines.

OSU-Cascades’ graduate teaching programs are full-time and follow a cohort model with students taking the same classes at the same time.  Both the early childhood and elementary program and the middle and high school programs include ESOL training and student teaching experience in local public schools.  The early childhood and elementary program is a 14-month program. The secondary teaching program offers endorsements in both language arts and social students and is a 12-month program.  The OSU-Cascades MAT is nationally accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.  The deadline to apply for the 2010-11 cohort is 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2009.

The MAT program begins in June 2010 and prerequisite courses are offered throughout the 2009-10 academic year.

The information session is free and no RSVP is necessary.
