Topic for this session: Health Care Reform

This new course features public health experts and legislative guest speakers who will discuss recent health bills and issues regarding Oregon public health policy.  These sessions are open to all OSU students, faculty, and staff – feel welcome to attend any that interest you!

Potential Discussion Points:

  • What are the real issues to address in health care reform?
  • What fundamental components of reformed health care are necessary to achieve the goal of affordable health care for all citizens?
  • What are the competing interests for and against those components?
  • How are leaders approaching those competing interests?
  • What would you see as an optimal solution? 
  • What should next steps be?
