Ein Freund von mir (A Friend of Mine)

2006, Germany
Dir. Sebastian Schipper
German and Spanish, with English subtitles
84 minutes

Karl and Hans are like fire and water – or a Sunday driver and a drag racer. The two men couldn't be more different. Karl is a young, introverted, bored mathematician who works as a junior manager at an insurance company and is on the fast track to a brilliant career. While appraising a car rental agency he meets go-getter Hans who is in love with Stelle, but who falls for Karl.

You are invited to a post-screening dance party in Club Escape featuring DJ Arndt Peltner of Radio Goethe San Francisco.
