While an increasingly diverse student population contributes to the creation of vibrant and engaging learning environments,
the dynamics of diversity in the classroom can also lead to challenging situations, particularly for less experienced instructors.
This session will focus specifically on exploring the ways that cognitive biases may be expressed in the learning environment and
the influence such biases can have on classroom interactions. The session will also help participants identify strategies for
mitigating the effects of cognitive bias through various classroom management strategies.
