"The Role of Energy and Environmental Risks in Health Transitions: Empirical Evidence from China" presented by Jill Baumgartner, PhD. Dr. Baumgartner’s research interests are in air pollution and cardiovascular disease; specifically, she has been researching the health effects of indoor air pollution from cook stoves and cardiovascular disease in China.
Dr. Baumgartner received her MS in Population and International Health from Harvard School of Public Health in 2006 and her PhD in Population Health and Environment & Resources (Epidemiology concentration) from the University of Wisconsin in 2010. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of the Environment at the University of Minnesota. She is a candidate for an Environment, Safety & Health faculty position in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences.
