"Approaches to Studying Strategies and Performance in Local Health Department: An Empirical Examination of Quality Improvements and Partnerships" Valerie Yeager, PhD. Dr. Yeager’s
work applies a health services research perspective to various settings and issues ranging from public health departments to physician practices, and from access to care to quality improvement. Dr.
Yeager is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Care Organization and Policy, in the School of Public Health, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Yeager recently
completed a PhD in Public Health from the same department. She holds a Master of Public Heath from University of Alabama, a Master in Philosophy in Journalism from the University of Stellenbosch in
South Africa, and a Bachelor of Art in Anthropology from Franklin and Marshall College and is is interviewing for a faculty position in Health Policy in the College of Public Health and Human
