Presentation will be an overview of  trends and developments in the medical electronics sector. Focus will be given on technologies that enable delivery and monitoring of life saving therapies. The talk will also cover reliability requirements for medical electronics.

Speaker Biography

Fred is currently Director of the Future Technologies Team at Micro Systems Engineering in Lake Oswego. MSEI is a subsidiary of BIOTRONIK, a global supplier of Cardiac Rhythm Management and Vascular Intervention therapies. Fred is also Chairman of the iNEMI Medical Product Emulator Group,  working on roadmaps for Medical electronics manufacturing.  Prior to joining MSEI in 2007, Fred held engineering and management positions in CMOS process development, semiconductor supply chain and photomask manufacturing with Hewlett-Packard, Fab management for DuPont Photomasks, Optoe-electronics with Agilent Technologies and RF components with Avago Technologies. He has an M.Sc. in Materials Science from U.C. Berkeley and a B.Sc. in Materials Science and Solid State Physics from Cornell University.
