Incredible Edibles Plant Sale 2012

Multnomah County Master Gardeners

Embrace homegrown goodness at the Multnomah County Master Gardeners’ Incredible Edibles Plant Sale on Saturday, May 5th, 10am to 3pm, on the grounds of All Saints School, 601 NE Cesar E. Chavez Blvd (formerly NE 39th Ave.), northwest of the Joan of Arc traffic circle at NE Cesar Chavez Blvd and NE Glisan St.  This is your opportunity to buy organic veggie starts and herbs for your home garden so you can harvest nutritious, fresh-picked goodness for your table! 

The Incredible Edibles Sale offers a luscious array of local, organically-grown, vegetable starts. You’ll find both heirlooms and hybrids among our proven varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, squash, greens, lettuces, herbs and more. Varieties offered have been specially selected for their ability to thrive in our Pacific Northwest climate.

‘Get the Real Dirt’ from OSU Extension-trained Master Gardener Volunteers who will be on site to answer your gardening questions. 

New to growing edibles?  There will be lots of information and helpful Master Gardeners to get you started on successfully growing your own food.

‘Plant. Grow. Eat.’ workshops are scheduled throughout the day to inspire and facilitate new adventures in growing your own food. 

Incredible Raffle Prizes!  Buy raffle tickets at the event for a chance to win some great Prizes!  A $250 Gift Card to Portland Nursery.  A 2 night stay at Portland Urban Cottage, a 2 night stay at Eagle Crest Resort, certificates for local sustainably-minded restaurants, garden gear, plants and more!

Attract beneficial insects with Disco Marigolds grown by Multnomah County Master Gardeners.  These single, French dwarf marigolds are excellent for attracting beneficial insects.  Early, rain tolerant, great for bedding and baskets.  Height 8” to 12”.  Offering Disco Red, Disco Yellow, and Disco Marietta (yellow with a bronze center) or a mixture of all three in jumbo six-packs.

Naomi’s Organic Farm Supply will join our event to offer a great selection of seeds, fertilizers, soil amendments, tools, books, and more edible plant starts to help get your garden growing!

Proceeds from the sale further the work of the Multnomah County Master Gardeners whose mission is to support the OSU Extension Service Master Gardener program and to educate the public about all aspects of successfully and sustainably growing and caring for plants.
