"Kids 'n Containers": Free class to be held in 5 Central Oregon locations (see below); Saturday, June 16, 10:00 to 11:00 am
Parents or guardians can bring their children and a container for each child to be planted with some guidance from Central Oregon Master Gardeners. There will be a talk and demonstration on
how to plant vegetable and flower seeds in the container.
Containers should be plastic planting container approximately 12” diameter and 6” deep with a drain hole. Central Oregon Master Gardeners will provide soil and seeds and a handout for container care
maintenance during the growing season. This event will be outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather.
The class is free but registration is required to assure adequate amounts of soil and seeds will be available. To register, phone OSU Extension Service, Deschutes County, at 541-548-6088
and request the Master Gardener Help Desk and give your name, number of children/containers, and which location you plan to attend. (see locations below).
Registration deadline is June 11th.
