Radiation Tolerance of Magnetic Tunnel Junction with MgO barrier
The magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) has attracted enormous attention because of applications in non-volatile magnetoresistive random-access memories (MRAM) and next-generation magnetic field sensors. In this work, the gamma and neutron radiation tolerance of magnetic tunnel junctions with MgO barriers was investigated. The transport and magnetic properties were measured in this effort. The characterization results show no statistically significant change in either tunneling magnetoresistance or corcivity from the radiation.
