Performance and optimization of pulsed UWB localization with large number of sources
The interest in the use of ultra-wideband (UWB) for localization has skyrocketed since the ruling of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States to open up the spectrum 3.1-10.6 GHz for UWB applications in 2002. The unique properties of UWB have been attractive in indoor applications such as wireless sensor networks and military applications. The research is focused on how to detect and identify multiple-sources and how to measure each position with minimum error by using the codes which have property of low value of cross-correlation and high one of auto -correlation.
