Oregon Master Naturalist - Willamette Valley Ecoregion Specialization Course

Urban and Urbanizing Landscapes in the Willamette Valley

Friday, October 26, 2012 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This class will focus on issues pertaining to urban areas in the Willamette Valley. Topics will include: the urban/rural interface and ecological issues that are unique to this landscape; urbanization impacts on hydrology, water quality, and biodiversity in the region; and tools that can be used to maintain natural ecosystem functions in the urban/rural interface at various scales, from the backyard to the watershed.
