Do you have a forest or small woodland? Are your trees too thick and you want to do some thinning, but aren't sure how to go about it? This is the class for you. Our focus will be on tree selection in thinning based on individual tree vigor and potential to meet objective, rather than pre-determined spacing rules. Leave high quality, vigorous trees and your stand will grow better and be healthier over time. We'll also cover how to get the work done, slash disposal, and other practical considerations. Handouts provided.
Pre-registration is requested.
Co-sponsored by the Jackson/Josephine Small Woodland Assocation and the OSU Extension Service.
